#how many purgatory monsters do you guys think fell in love with dean tho
#but for real though #dean winchester as campfire tale#dean winchester as legend #there’s a human in purgatory #he’s the most beautiful and terrifying thing you’ll ever see #and if you ever see him you should run #dean’s own humanity is a beacon #more like a siren song #the monsters are fascinated and venture closer than they should #and are dashed against his rocks #YOU SHALL LOVE HIM AND DESPAIR (via siterlas)
#i wonder how many monsters in purgatory were there for years #bragging about the fact that they got killed by dean winchester #yeah#that’s right #dean fucking winchester stabbed me with a silver knife #and now he’s back#and the monsters he’s killed can’t help but seek him out again #just to get that thrill from trying to outsmart him again #just to see the legend in action again #oh my god these tags are amazing

#yes - long ago - the same night those men died at the Alamo - Samuel Colt made a gun #but do you think it was the only gun he ever made? #do you think he was the only one who knew how to beat spellwork into metal how to mix cleansing into gunpowder? #there’s a gun without a name #less storied than the Colt; perhaps because it’s less powerful; perhaps because its master knows how to keep a silence #its builder is forgotten (though the name of her husband might be familiar still) #but it was she who made it not the man whose name she took #and she made it for a friend in a long lace skirt and sturdy boots #and this gun cannot kill anything #and it cannot even kill anything but archangels #but this gun? this gun will never fail you #this gun will manage what you need or close enough #this gun has saved more people than Samuel Colt’s masterpiece ever did #and this gun has been handed down mother to daughter with very few sons in the interim #and many of those sons have been true bastards and every single one their mother’s boy #in another world Jo Harvelle might have used this nameless gun to soothe her mother’s nightmares #in another world Dean Winchester might have held this gun as his mother taught him #in another world Jessica Moore might have dug this gun out of a grave and stood beside the man who should have been her brother-in-law #and she might have used this gun to avenge a loose-haired lawyer burned to ash (for failures are always thrown away) #and in another world Anna Milton might have traced this gun down rather than search for her grace #and in another world Bela Talbot might have sold every scrap of gold in reach to find this gun and fight a hellhound off #and in another world Tamara might have hid this gun in her boot and never told her husband of it until she saved him with a shot #and in another world and in another world and in another world (via saltgunandsparks)

I don’t… I can’t…
HOW DO YOU DO THIS?
You sit there going “this makes sense” when you’re in it, but try to examine it form the outside and you realize:

People make gifs used by the internet at large, works of fiction that are hundreds of thousands words long, art that could be put up in freaking GALLERIES it’s so beautiful, fanvideos on par with professional cinematography and edits that use photoshop better than magazines do, for FREE. Because they LIKE THINGS. That’s it. They don’t get paid for it. They do it for FREE BECAUSE THEY LIKE IT.
Because it makes them feel good. Because they like the other people who do it. Because it’s fun.
I’m trying to find something to compare it to, anthropologically, but I can’t.
Because it’s unique. It’s exciting. It’s entirely new and internety and no one studies it for some reason, but it’s fascinating and AWESOME.

Fandom has SAVED LIVES guys. It’s a created kinship network that extends as far as whatever people like extends, through the internet, tvs, into real life friendships and it’s so awesome and convoluted and full of wank and bitchiness and people being cranky, but at the same time full of so much love and creativity and crazy that it’s beautiful. It really is.

Aaaaaand now I have to somehow describe fandom (the Supernatural fandom, specifically) in scholarly terms.
I don’t really think academia is ready for places where this—

— makes total and complete sense.
…I’m going back to my paper now…
Family Roads
Genreswap: Supernatural as a psychological thriller about two sons raised in an abject paramilitary lifestyle, living off the grid and becoming serial killers; the family business.
Edited by greenelysium/me
Can this be like a real thing now or?
My kingdom for this.
No, my giant stack of research texts for this.
That’s how much I want this.

I need to tell you about him.
He started out small, a baby with wide eyes and blank dreams, and he has grown tall and crooked. He has a brother, and a gun, and a purpose, a path, a long and empty road of hairpin turns and shattered wrecks, and it is quiet there.
He is…

9091:
Hey guys. Michi here. So we just found out that my mom’s Chemo will be $6,000 a month starting in March. Her insurance is only paying for 60% of it and akdjfakljgalkh. I don’t know what to do because I’m in school and don’t even have a paying job. And with my own medical issues, money is getting really really scarce. I guess this is my call for help.
My mom, Linda, has diabetes, diabetic neuropathy, and a lot of other things I don’t even remember. And now she’s has Liver Cancer. I think we found that out in September or October and her insurance company isn’t paying for it all anymore. >_< The doctors gave her 6 months to live back in September or October and she was in Charlotte Tuesday and the tests they ran down there said that the mass in her Liver was shrinking. But, guys, I don’t want her to have to stop taking treatments and have that mass get bigger and bigger. I don’t want my mom to die. She’s all the family I have and I’m not even out in the “real world” yet.
So I’ve decided I’m going to start doing some sort of commission for my mom and to raise money to pay for her Chemo. If you donate to my paypal (mecoolgal123kiss@gmail.com), ANY amount of money, I’ll write you a Supernatural or Vampire Diaries one-shot or drabble of at least 700 words. I’ll be using the email your Paypal or whatever gives me and will contact you that way. You can choose what characters you want in it, even if they were only there half an episode, and anything you want to go down in it. I don’t write pairings very well, but I can still try! Not making any promises that you’ll love me afterwards, but I can still try. Heh
Drabble Example: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7763616/1/Stealing_Time
One-shot Example(although this is a story, but I can totes write one shots!): http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7473739/1/Deal_Worth_Making
I’ve never actually done a commission before, but I really hope this works. I don’t have that many followers and would love it if they would reblog this. I would be nothing without my mom and she’s the only thing I have. Asfjlkdsjfs Now I’m crying and just want to start this commissions. Will you guys help me? Please?

Can I print these out? The people I give them to won’t get the references, but I still want to.
I encourage everyone to print these out. Bonus points if you send them to someone in the supernatural cast/crew.
