But seriously there is little I resent more than the whole “if it’s being made for a paycheque, it must be bad!” argument. Firstly, because most people lack the luxury to ignore economic constraints when making professional decisions and secondly, because it’s ridiculous and laughable to assume that just become something is being made primarily for mercenary, money-motivated reasons renders it automatically unable to scale the pinnacles of High Art™. And okay yes, art is a rich, wonderful, sometimes life-changing, life-saving force but at the end of the day, it’s just art. It hangs on people’s walls and lines their bookshelves and lights up their television screens. If you’re willing to sacrifice your well-being, a certain lifestyle for yourself and your family for its sake, that’s swell but it doesn’t make you superior to the people who aren’t.
HITLER IS NOT A SYNONYM FOR A POLITICIAN YOU DON’T LIKE.
UNLESS THERE IS WIDESPREAD WAR AND GENOCIDE HAPPENING BECAUSE OF THIS POLITICIAN/POLITICAL FIGURE, I REPEAT:
DO NOT.
COMPARE.
THEM.
TO.
HITLER.
This is not a fucking difficult concept to grasp.
I am drinking vodka out of a Beatles coffee mug, reading Persuasion and doing response papers while the Time Warp plays on repeat.
I’ve lost control of my life and I leave for England in roughly 36 hours.
I am responsible for nothing.

I will never, ever understand what people expect to gain from saying this.
LeVar Burton for the fucking win, y’all.
Geordi has spoken!
